ISH ACADEMY / MANAGERS AND ADMINISTRATORS

Set the defaults.
Review the decisions.

Prepare the workspace so the team can focus on the job. This route covers company defaults, reviewed supplier costs and the checks that stay with the person approving the work.

YOUR LEARNING ROUTE

Three decisions to get right.

01 / JOB DEFAULTS

Start in the right province.

An administrator saves the usual job province in Settings, or chooses a province for each job. Staff confirm the actual location when they begin a budget check. The company address and existing documents keep their own details.

Check applicable construction packages and reviewed evidence separately. Selecting a province does not create or approve rates for it.

02 / COST REVIEW

Approve a source and a scope.

Use This project for a reviewed cost specific to that job. Use Future quotes for a reviewed company cost in the matching region. An invoice-only selling-price adjustment is a separate decision.

  • Match the item specification and unit.
  • Check the supplier, source reference and valid offer dates.
  • Resolve VAT, transport and delivery assumptions.
  • Review the intended project or company scope before saving.

Existing issued documents retain their saved prices. Never use a supplier-cost update to correct an issued invoice.

03 / BRR SERVICE

Agree what the assessment delivers.

If your team offers Build Readiness Review, agree the service scope and fee before starting. Confirm the project brief, floor-area basis, budget boundary and evidence. Review the construction scope and price separately from the original assessment.

The retained recording is an earlier worked example. Read the current written guidance beside it. Revised narration, client-report wording and approved commercial inputs still need their own review.

PREPARE THE TEAM

Give everyday work a clear route.

Start new invoice users with lessons 1–5, then review and issue in lesson 7 and recovery in lesson 8. Bring managers into lesson 6 when a sourced project or company cost needs approval. Use BRR when the person will handle assessments.

Confirm that each person can find the correct customer and job, distinguish a draft from an issued invoice, review the PDF and describe a problem through the relevant lesson feedback form.
